The Hazara, like the Mogoli, are descendants of the Mongols. Formerly residents of central Afghanistan, they are currently living in and around the city of Peshawar and in the refugee settlement of Attock, both of which are in northern Pakistan.
Perhaps the most noticeable aspect of the Hazara carpets that I carry is the fineness of their weave. The vegetable dyed colors are clear; field colors vary. Designs are diverse, and include Caucasian, Turkmen, and Anatolian motifs. Sizes of Hazara carpets vary from small to medium.
